Breton gray salt is sea salt formed by the action of sun and wind in the gray clay on the Atlantic coast of Brittany, France. It is hand harvested in ancient Celtic method of wooden blades without further refining. Breton gray salt contains a large number of micro-elements (magnesium, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, iodine, etc.) While there is a lower content of sodium as compared to the standard salt. The taste is subtle with hints of colorful flavors, which makes it suitable for tampering with red meats, seafood, salads and raw vegetables.
